Journal #3
(Pg 112-168)
Christopher had begun to read more letters from his mother when his dad was
away at work. He counted 43 letters in totaled and these were written after her
so called "Death" Christopher comes to the conclusion after reading
4-5 letters that she is still alive and that his father had lied to him about
her. Christopher begins to feel very sick and passes out; while he is passed
out he had puked on himself. When he regains consciousness his father had
returned home from work, calling out his name. Enter his room and finds Christopher
curled up in a ball groaning while his father is mad saying "Christopher,
What the hell are you doing?" and notices Christopher had read the letters
and begins to panic. after awhile he finally said "It was for your own
good Christopher, Thought it was better if you didn’t know, I was going to show
you when you were older" (page 114) Christopher's father begins to clean
him up from all his puke and foul smell by running a bath and changing him into his jumper, while dealing with Christopher’s
inability to reply due to being in shock. Christopher's father proclaims he will from now become honest with him, sharing his secret that he had killed wellington. He began to talk about how Ms.Shears would stay with Christopher and his father and cook nice home cook meals then one day Ms.Shears and His Father had argued about how she cared about the dog more than him and his jealousy lead to the death of Wellington.

Journal 2
In this section of the book Christopher
is still trying to figure out who killed Mrs. Shears' dog, Wellington. Christopher
seems to be having a lot of Black Days too (four yellow cars). And despite his
father banning him from mentioning Mr. Shears, Christopher figures 'well he
never said anything about outside of the house' so when he runs into Mrs.
Alexander at the shop, he mentions him and Mrs. Alexander explains to Christopher
that his mother and Mr. Shears were having an affair. That explains why
Christopher's father hates Mr. Shears therefore causing the ban on his being
mentioned. He is also still continuing with his white lies. When he goes to
talk to Siobhan I find it interesting the way he shows no emotion towards the
news of his mothers unfaithfulness just because his 'Mother is dead. And
because Mr. Shears isn't around anymore.' so he would be feeling 'sad about
something that isn't real and doesn't exist. And that would be stupid.' Another
interesting thing is the way he uses his memory as a film and rewinds, fast
forwards and pauses like when he remembered his mother disappearing in the
water. When Christopher's father found his book, he got very angry and eventually
he grabbed Christopher which doesn't sit well with him. One thing led to
another and all of a sudden there was blood and a pain in his head. So, whilst
still trying to investigate the murder of Wellington, it seems Christopher has
discovered a few mysteries he hadn't planned on. Not that it's a big deal to
him.

Journal #3 113-168
This is a section of the book where a lot of the conflict gets resolved but also new conflict arises. Christopher learns who killed the dog. It was his father, which horrified him and made him lose his trust completely. He also finds out his mother is still alive and reads a lot of the letters from her. She has moved to Londom with a man named Roger. I am assuming it is Mr.Shears but it does not say directly, it implies it with things like how Mr.Boone (Christopher's dad) used to spend a lot of time with Eileen, who we find out is Mrs.Shears. I am guessing Roger is Mr.Shears because Christopher's mother had an affair with Mr.Shears as well. Another part of the story that happens is Christopher runs away, he decides that his hime isn't safe enough anymore and for a night hides outside. The next day he starts thinking of where to go because he doesn't feel safe at home. After awhile he decides he will go stay with his mother. The problem with this is that she lives in London, so Christopher starts planning out how to get there. He decides on taking the train and starts making his way to the train station. After sitting at the train station for awhile he gets his ticket and goes on the train. While on the train a police officer catches up with him and tells him that his father is at the station and worried about him, as well that he will be bringing him to the station to see his father but then the train starts so they have to stay on it. In all this was a very intresting section with a lot of changes in the characters. Some going from the most trust worthy characters to the least.

Journal #2 (57-112)
This part of the book is rather interesting because you really see how Christopher's autism affects his way of thinking. You see this a lot when he gets told about his mother sleeping with Mr.Shears. Christopher doesn't really react, he just says it doesn't matter because it happened awhile ago. Most people would be upset or shocked if they found out that their mother had cheated on their father. The part of the book is very interesting because we see new characters and see more of Christopher and how he thinks. (Like most of the book every second chapter is a little thing that he wants to talk about ex: Sherlock Holmes, A level maths). We also see more of what his father is like and more of what his mother was like. The thing we also see is his father hit him, but that is because he lost his temper when he found Christopher's book on the kitchen table. The book had all of Christopher's conversations with people etc. Christopher's dad got mad because in the book there was him talking with Mrs.Alexander about the death of Wellington, as well as when he finds out his mother cheated on his father. After he gets hit his father immediately apologizes and brings him to the zoo and looks after him. In all this was a very interesting section of the book with a lot of character development.
