Journal 1
I think this book is interesting because unlike other books the chapters go up in prime numbers, and the book is from the point of view of an autistic 15 year old, and that gives us a whole different view of the world, like in the first couple of chapters the boy, chris, got arrested for hitting a police officer but not to hurt him, but because he didnt know of any other way to get the officer to stop touching him which is very innocent if you think about it and in any other situation with "normal" teenagers, the reasons would have been very different. This interests me more about the book and it is only one of the reasons why i like this book and i hope to delve into that more the more i get into the book and the more journals i write.

We do see Christopher is innocent, for the most part, however he doesn't just hit because of his touch issues. We hear about him hitting kids at school or insulting them and also complaining about them. Yet this is childish and innocent, his insults however aren't. They insult their disabilities and issues, which is just cruel.
ReplyDeleteIn this story, Christoper is smarter than all of them which may explain why he insults them and complains about them. He is simple minded and straight forward and doesnt realy know better.
